Demfest returns to Romsey - a day of music, entertainment and community

Romsey Dementia Action Group (ROMDAG) is delighted to announce the return of DemFest, a free community event taking place at the beautiful Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on Sunday 13th September 2026, from 10am to 4pm.
DemFest is a celebration of community, bringing together people living with dementia, their families and carers, alongside local organisations, charities and support services. The event offers a relaxed and welcoming opportunity to find out more about the support available locally, meet others and enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment.

This year's special VIP guest is Louis Alexander, an adventurer and Guinness World Record holder who is raising vital funds for Alzheimer's research. Louis will officially open DemFest at 10.30am, before sharing his inspiring story with visitors during a special talk at 11.45am.
There will be something for everyone throughout the day, with a fantastic programme of live performances including Cinnamon Jazz, Southampton Gradband, Sarah Hobbs, Zvadets Bulgarian Dancers and Nomads Theatre Group. Younger visitors can also enjoy the talents of Juggling Jake, the circus performer, bringing plenty of fun and entertainment for children.

Alongside the entertainment, visitors will be able to meet local support organisations, discover useful information in the beautiful surroundings of Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
DemFest is free to attend and everyone is welcome. Whether you are living with dementia, supporting a family member or friend, work in the community, or simply want to find out more, come along and be part of this special day.
